Jamie Hoag is an attorney and government relations expert originally from Fall River, Massachusetts. He has spent his career in both the public and private sectors. He served as a legislative aide to Congressman James McGovern, now Chairman of the House Rules Committee, and as an assistant to the late great Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. More recently, he worked for Governor Deval Patrick as the director of federal-state relations and as deputy chief legal counsel. Prior to joining the Patrick Administration, Jamie was a litigation associate at DLA Piper in Washington, D.C. Jamie also served as Director of Government Relations for his alma mater, the College of the Holy Cross.
Jamie sits on numerous non-profit boards, including the Worcester County Food Bank and the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, where he is board president. He is an adjunct professor at Suffolk Law School and Northeastern University. Jamie also served as a volunteer attorney for the Biden campaign and transition and is extensively involved in efforts to protect the right to vote.
He lives in West Roxbury with his husband Eric Shupin and their parrotlet, Lucy.
